Mederma Silicone Scar Sheet
4.00 Ct, 0.1 lbs. Item # 490541
Mederma Silicone Scar Sheets are a medical grade silicone scar sheet that can be used on hypertrophic and keloid scars following injuries, burns, and surgery. The small size of the sheets makes them ideally sized for use on minor injuries, burns, and surgeries. The sheets soften and visibly improve the appearance of scars by reducing excessive scar formation and causing it to fade. The ingredients of the sheets are not listed on the Mederma website or product label, but they are made from medical grade silicone and are self-adhesive. Numerous studies have demonstrated the efficacy of silicone scar sheets in improving the appearance, texture, and color of a wide range of scars, including surgery scars and burn scars. Silicone scar sheets are a popular, non-invasive scar treatment option used by healthcare professionals and individuals alike for scar management. Directions
Directions: For optimum results start using Mederma Silicone Scar Sheet as soon as your wound has closed (after removal of sutures and the disappearance of any scabs). For best possible results, it is preferable that the Silicone Scar Sheets are used for a minimum 12 and a maximum of 23 hour per day. It is recommended that Mederma Silicone Scar Sheet wear time can be gradually increased to allow skin tolerance. If necessary, Mederma Silicone Scar Sheet can be cut to the correct size. Ensure that Silicone Scar Sheet extends approximately 1 inch beyond the edges of the scar. Ensure good adhesion and durability of the Silicone Scar Sheet by removing any hair around the scar site. Thoroughly clean and dry the skin before applying the Silicone Scar Sheet to the scar and the area surrounding it. Remove the protective film from the back of the Mederma Silicone Scar sheet and apply it to the scar. If necessary, the Silicone Scar Sheet can be fixed in place with an adhesive or elastic bandage. You may apply a moisturizing cream after removal of the Silicone Scar Sheet. Uses: Improves the appearance of old and new scars.
