Zaditor Eye Drops

Zaditor Drops are over-the-counter eye drops used to help alleviate itchy eyes caused by allergies such as seasonal conjunctivitis.

Zaditor Dosage

When using Zaditor, apply one drop to the affected eye or eyes, twice per day every eight to 12-hours, or as otherwise directed on the packaging or per your doctor's recommendations. Your dosage will depend on your specific medical condition and your individual response to the drops.

Zaditor Eye Drops Side Effects

Side effects of Zaditor may include a burning, stinging, or irritation of the eye, headache, or a runny/stuffy nose. You may also notice a bad taste in your mouth after using the drops. Some people reported increased sensitivity to light, but all of these side effects should be mild and subside fairly quickly after application.

What Is Zaditor?

Zaditor contains an ingredient called Ketotifen, an antihistamine for the eyes that helps blocks certain natural substances in the body called histamines. It is also a mast cell stabilizer that may help to prevent allergic reactions by reducing the release of certain natural substances in the body that may cause allergic reactions.

What Are Zaditor Eye Drops Used For?

Zaditor eye drops are used to help treat the symptoms of dry, itchy, or irritated eyes as a result of pollen, dust, animal dander, or other airborne allergies. The drops may also help reduce sneezing and a runny or watery nose. To use the drops, wash your hands thoroughly, then tilt your head back, looking upward. Pull the lower eyelid down and hold the dropper directly over the eye and apply one drop into the lower eyelid. Look down and close your eyes for approximately one to two minutes. Try not to blink and avoid rubbing your eyes. Replace the dropper cap after each use and keep the bottle tightly closed and stored in a clean, dry area at room temperature.

How Often Can You Use Zaditor Eye Drops?

You may use one drop of Zaditor per eye every eight to 12 hours, or as otherwise directed by a doctor. Always follow the directions on the manufacturer's packaging to confirm.
