How Does Salonpas Work?
Salonpas is a topical analgesic in a transdermal patch. Once the backing of the patch is removed, it is applied over your painful area and the medication begins to absorb directly into the skin. This product can help to relieve inflammation caused by arthritis which can therefore relieve pain. It works by decreasing proteins in the joint fluid that may cause inflammation.
How To Use Salonpas
Clean and dry the affected area, then remove the Salonpas patch from the protective packaging. Apply the adhesive part directly to the affected area and gently slide the film backward, then slide the other film forward to remove it. The brand also makes patches for the knee, ankle, neck, elbow, and more.
What Is in Salonpas Patches?
The Salonpas patch is made of thin, stretchable fabric that is treated with two different ingredients. These ingredients work together as a topical analgesic and include three percent menthol and 10-percent methyl salicylate which combine to reduce inflammation and relieve your minor aches and pains.
Can You Sleep With Salonpas On?
Yes, you can sleep with a Salonpas patch on. The patch should provide pain relief for between eight and 12 hours, so it may be worn overnight if desired.
How Many Salonpas Patches Can I Use At Once?
Only one Sanpas patch should be used at a time. If you're still in pain, you may remove the patch and replace it with a new one, but no more than two patches per day should be applied, and for no more than three days in a row according to the manufacturer.
