What Is Pure Protein?
Pure Protein is a nutritional protein brand of products containing whey protein (dairy) and other ingredients blended together for providing energy, vitality, and strength through support of muscle building and strengthening. Pure Protein provides amino acids and up to 25 grams of protein per scoop of whey protein powder or protein bar. The bars are also fortified with vitamins and minerals such as zinc, calcium, potassium, and Vitamin A.
How Are Pure Protein Bars Healthy?
Most of the Pure Protein bars are around 200 calories, with 20 grams of protein, only 2 to 4 grams of sugar, and 1 to 7 grams of fiber. They work excellently as a meal replacement or post-exercise recovery snack for those with average protein needs (i.e. not those requiring significantly higher than average caloric needs). The total carbohydrate levels and minimal sugar, along with high protein and modest fiber makes these bar a reasonably healthy option. Pure Protein bars should not be used to replace more than one meal per day, nor should they replace high-fiber snacks or meal items, such as vegetables and fruit which contain more fiber which the body needs to function properly. They also contain dairy and soy, and should not be consumed by those affected by these foods.
Are Pure Protein Bars Gluten Free?
The Pure Protein bars are made of high protein, low sugar, and great taste - and zero gluten or wheat. This means that folks on a gluten-free diet may eat the bars without concern. Is Pure Protein powder keto-friendly? Pure Protein products tend to rate higher on net carbohydrates than is recommended for a keto diet. Some of the products contain maltodextrin which has a glycemic index above zero, meaning that most of the products are not keto-friendly.
