Oxiclean

Oxiclean works by using oxygen as a cleaning agent. When you use Oxiclean, you may notice a bubbling sound. This is the oxygen releasing and binding with the various compounds in stains as it works to lift them away. The product uses natural compounds to break down dirt and stains without the use of chemicals that can cause irritation to your skin or damage fabrics.

The main ingredients in most Oxiclean products are sodium carbonate (baking soda), surfactants (cleaners), sodium percarbonate, polymer, and water which is either already in the solution or added to the brand's dry powdered products to activate the ingredients.

Oxiclean contains surfactants, which are detergents that loosen dirt and help to whisk them away from fabrics once they are washed. The products also contain polymers, large molecules that bond to grease to lift it away from clothing and fabric. Water activates the sodium percarbonate in Oxiclean to help lift dirt away and out of surfaces and fabric to remove stains and get clothing clean.

Only use Oxiclean on upholstery that can be washed with water. Fill to line one level of Oxiclean per 16 ounces of water, and remove excess grime or food before treating the upholstery. Apply the mixture with a clean, white towel and use it to blot stains away. Repeat the process until the stain is gone, then dampen another clean white towel and blot the furniture with water to rinse. For tougher stains or patio furniture, use Oxiclean Versatile Stain Remover.

Fill one measure of Oxiclean Versatile Clean to the line per 16 ounces of water, and apply just enough of the mixture onto the carpet until the stain is saturated. Let the mixture sit for about one to five minutes and don't let it dry. Blot the carpet stain clean with a dry, white towel and repeat until the stain is no longer visit. Rinse the area with clean water and blot it dry.
