Nair is a popular brand that makes at-home hair removal products called depilatories. This cream, gel, or lotion uses chemicals to temporarily remove unwanted body and facial hair. You can purchase Nair online or at your local drugstore, including CVS Pharmacy.

Always use Nair products as indicated per the product packaging. Most Nair products start to work in just three to 10 minutes. Start by applying the Nair cream, gel, or lotion to clean, dry skin using a spatula. Wait the amount of time recommended per the packaging, then gently wipe the hair away with a clean, dry cloth. Nair works by breaking down or dissolving hair so you can easily wipe it away. A mixture of ingredients removes the hair shaft but does not remove the hair below the skin or the hair root.
