M&Ms

M&Ms is one of the most popular candy in the US. This melt-in-your-mouth treat is so iconic it traveled to space with astronauts just so they could get their chocolate fix even while spending time away from their home planet. These bite-sized candies supposedly started when Forrest E. Mars, Sr., was in Spain and saw soldiers eating tiny balls of chocolate coated in candy. This inspired him to recreate his version, and M&Ms was born.

M&M Candy Types

You may be familiar with the brown-colored M&Ms packet. This is the first-ever M&Ms candy that was created. It became so popular that the company started to stamp it with the letter M so people with a sweet tooth could tell it apart from other candies. This classic milk chocolate candy is one that many know and love, but throughout the years more M&M types have come along.

Peanut Butter M&Ms

Another major fan favorite is the M&M peanut butter flavor, which were originally released in 1989. This candy comes in a red wrapper and is the same color as plain M&Ms. However, it is bigger than the plain ones, but not as big as the peanut M&Ms.

White Chocolate M&Ms

There are also white chocolate M&Ms, which come in both peanut and plain varieties. This product is perfect for people who enjoy the rich flavor of white chocolate. The plain ones are amazing, but if you want a little crunch, grab the peanut kind. An even better option is to mix both and enjoy a nice chocolate peanut m&m.

Almond M&MS

Similar to the peanut M&Ms, almond M&Ms have a full almond under the chocolate coating and candy shell. If you are a fan of almonds, you need to stock up on this M&M flavor. The combination of almond and chocolate is something that will make you swoon.

Dark Chocolate M&Ms

If you prefer a richer chocolate, then the dark chocolate M&Ms plain and peanut varieties are a must-try. These candies have a rich and powerful flavor, and when mixed with the sugar candy shell, the combination is very tasty.
