This powerful antiseptic solution can be used to disinfect a variety of minor injuries, including cuts, scrapes, and burns. Even minor injuries can have serious complications if allowed to become infected. Disinfecting your blisters and abrasions with CVS Health™ Povidone-Iodine 10% solution can reduce your risk of infection. The solution is applied topically, and it is safe to use up to 3 times per day. Ingredients
Povidone-Iodine 10% (1% Available Iodine), Citric Acid, Disodium Phosphate, Glycerin, Nonoxynol-9, Sodium Hydroxide, Purified Water. Please see the full list of product ingredients on the product label.
Directions
Clean the affected area. Apply a small amount to the affected area 1 to 3 times daily. May be covered with sterile bandage. If bandaged let dry first.
Warnings
For external use only. Do not use in the eyes or over large areas of the body. Ask a doctor before use in case of deep or puncture wounds, animal bites, or serious burns. Stop use and consult a doctor if the condition persists or gets worse. You need to use this product for more than 1 week. Keep out of reach of children. If swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.
