Based on laboratory testing. Laboratory in vitro testing demonstrates that the film properties of the dressing provide a barrier to bacteria includingStaph & MRSA while the dressing remains intact without leakage. For at-home protection of minor cuts, abrasions, burns, and post-surgical incisions, the dressings on your wound are an important piece of your after-care on the path to healing. The CVS Health™ Advanced Care Waterproof Transparent Dressings offer breathable coverings that allow your injured skin to breathe, while the waterproof design creates a secure barrier between your wound and outside bacteria such as STAPH and MRSA. For post-surgical monitoring of an incision, the multi-day use of the CVS Health™ dressings allow you to keep a watchful eye after a procedure without having to freshly re-dress the wound each time. Directions
See directions below. For best results, use CVS Health™ first aid products, and follow the 1-2-3 Treatments:
STEP 1: CleanGently clean the wound using a gauze pad with mild soap and water. Carefully dry the affected area and apply medication if needed (not included).
STEP 2: CoverCover the wound with the sterile waterproof transparent dressing. The dressing should cover at least 1/2 inch of healthy skin on all sides of the wound.
An additional 2"x 3"non-stick pad (not included) may be used under the dressing for added protection. Do not use as a primary dressing on moderately to heavily draining wounds.
STEP 3: SecureGently press and secure all four sides of dressings to skin to ensure a waterproof environment.To Remove: Slowly and gently peel back edge of film and pull over itself.
Pull low against skin and in the direction of hair. Support the skin adjacent to the dressing with fingers while removing.
