Always purchase the correct size and grade of battery most suitable for theintended use.
Replace all batteries of a set at the same time.
Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not mix alkaline, standard(carbon-zinc) and rechargeable (nickel cadmium) batteries.
Clean the battery compartment by blowing away any debris prior to battery installation.
Ensure the batteries are installed correctly with regard to polarity (+ and –).
When batteries begin to fail, remove promptly.
Remove batteries from device that is not to be used for an extended period of time.
